We shot, quite possibly, my favorite wedding we’ve ever shot this weekend. The kind of wedding that makes you so excited to be a photographer. The kind where the bride’s grandparents drive you 3 hours from the nearest airport to the little town where the wedding will be. The kind of wedding where those grandparents take you out for Applebees and give you a Discovery Channel-worthy tour of the countryside. The kind of wedding where you have 3 hours for portraits and the bride books a party bus to drive wherever the wind takes you. The kind of wedding where everyone loves everyone, us included. And the kind of wedding where the bride’s parents invite you to family dinner the day after the wedding and order you 3 pizzas. (Cut Michigan style which means into bite sized squares instead of triangles.) Oh… And the kind of wedding where you spend the entire next day driving up the peninsula exploring old mining sites with a bride and groom that look more like models than normal people. This photo of me was taken in a huge field with an apple tree facing a sapphire lake. It was during wedding party photos. The sun was amazing. Happy girl.

Lucky in life.
